Experience it all with Santa and his reindeer from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Enjoy live entertainment, face painting, balloon art, holiday crafts and activities.

Award winning children's book illustrator, R.Gregory Christie will be on hand doing a book signing and reading from titles such asJazz Baby, The Deaf Musicians and Bad News for Outlaws !

Mr. Christie is a three-time recipient of a Coretta Scott King Honor Award in Illustration. His books, Only Passing Through and Stars in Darkness have been included in the New York Times’ Year’s Best Illustrated Children’s Books and to date he has illustrated over twenty five children's books.

A jazz fan himself, Greg has also illustrated numerous jazz album covers and is often a contributor to the New Yorker magazine. His book Yesterday I Had the Blues has been animated and showcased on the PBS television show Between the Lions. "Garrett's Gift "Another animated short movie for educational DVD company, Sweet Blackberry with actresses Queen Latifah and Karyn Parsons was featured on HBO Kids yearly. MyMeApparel Meeting - Tonight 08/26/10 @ The Taste

The MyMeApparel meeting is at 7:00pm today at The Taste Sports Bar & Grill at 6650 Broad Street Douglasville, Ga 30134 on August 26, 2010 for the MyMeApparel Meeting. All those involved in the Launch & Charity (or those wanting to be) please come. Photographers and Media Outlets welcome! The Taste is absolutely addictive! MyMeApparel Designates It's Charity Recipient!

For those of you who don't know, I am a child advocate first, designer (and many other things second). Anything that I am involved in MUST have a component that relates to improving the quality of life for the child.

True to form, so does the Launch -
MyMeApparel is working with Project Night Night,
a 501(c)3 organization that is home-based in California,
to provide ONE HUNDRED comfort totes to homeless children!

MyMeApparel has purchased 100 Comfort totes from Project Night Night.








Each comfort tote will include: a blankie, a book and a stuffed animal!



** The blankies are now being hand-sewn by volunteers of MyMeApparel... Thank you ladies! (84 more to go!)

** Most of the books have been purchased. (33 more to go!)

** The stuffed animals will be purchased within the next 30 days. (100 more to go!)

How can you help with this project? Well, there is NO COST to attend the MyMeApparel Real Woman's Ready-to-Wear Fashions Launch on September 23, 2010. However, $20.00 donations will be accepted to cover the cost of each tote ... and you can have a hand in selecting the items to go into the tote that you are sponsoring! Representatives from Nicholas House will be present at the event. All totes will be taken by Nicholas House Representatives to give to the homeless children! ... and Thank You ... in advance for your support!!!
