A Time of Reflection
As we quickly approach the coming of a new year, it is only understandable that we take a moment to reflect. In order to properly plan and forecast where we are going, it is only natural to look at from whence we came.
Some of us reflect by reviewing our accomplishments and failures. (Like the New Year's Resolutions that we made around this time last year and whether or not they were successfully completed.) Others of us look at the things we had versus the things that we have now, material things, as well as the connections we have to other people. While, even other, more detail-oriented historians and forecasters look at all of the above.

WonderWall has compiled a fantastic tribute to those whom we lost in 2011. And when I say "those", I mean not only the people, but (in reflecting their major contributions to the fashion and entertainment industry) the potential to continue to be influenced by their greatness ... regardless of, or in spite of, and in some cases as a result of their personal struggles.
From Former First Lady Betty Ford to Fitness Guru Jack LaLanne, Singer Amy Winehouse to Crooner Vesta Williams, Rapper Montae "M Bone" Talbert to Saxophonist Clarence Clemons, Playmate Yvette Vickers to Film Producer Laura Ziskin...or Actress Clarice Taylor to Columnist/Reporter Andy Rooney... and the list goes on and on and on... Oh and how many times did we hear "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" over the last few weeks? RIP: Songwriter Hugh Martin....and all of the others.

From every aspect of my being drawn to the fashion and entertainment industry, I am in awe of the years, sometimes decades, that these people have invested in this industry and, thus, in me.
